What do I need to apply?

An acre or more of clear space. We’ll need it to do things like build a set, install lights and sound—and of course, host an audience! It’s OK if the clear space includes fountains, statues, trees, etc. However, it should not include playing fields that are actively in use while the play is using the space.

Prep time. Setting-up the play and performing it will take about 10 days. The specific schedule is somewhat flexible, though; we can talk about what will work best for your park. And by the way, we keep amplified sound to minimum and never use it after 9 p.m.

A Welcoming Community. We’re making this show together! Therefore, it’s important for you to connect us with community leaders by email, phone, or in person.

We ARE NOT asking for money. The Park Plays are fully funded. We would be grateful for your time putting us in touch with the community and making the play, but we won’t ask for a penny from you.

We ARE NOT asking for free labor. All artists—both professional and community contributors—will be paid for their time and talents. We deeply appreciate volunteers and other in-kind contributions, but we do not require them to make the show.
